SyteLine ERP Consolidation: From Data Silos to a Single Source of Truth
In 2011, I played a key role in a transformative ERP consolidation project. The challenge was significant: the organization was running on three fragmented management systems, leading to data silos and operational friction. I was tasked with merging these into a single Infor SyteLine ERP instance.
The Challenge: Merging three distinct systems isn’t just a technical migration; it’s a business realignment. We had to reconcile thousands of inconsistent part numbers—from raw materials to finished goods—while ensuring that live inventory data remained accurate throughout the transition.
My Approach:
Data Orchestration: I led the consolidation of master data, creating a unified naming convention for all SKUs and semi-parts. This required a deep dive into the logic of our supply chain.
Cross-Functional Alignment: I spent months “getting my hands dirty” with every department, identifying their unique requirements and translating them into a standardized, company-wide process.
Empowering the Team: I didn’t just deliver a system; I delivered a solution. I designed and led the training programs for all functions, ensuring the transition from legacy systems to SyteLine was met with confidence, not resistance.
The Result: A successful go-live that unified our operations, provided real-time inventory visibility, and established the digital foundation that allowed the site to scale its Lean journey in the years that followed.
